The Truth About AN1H1 in Peru

AN1H1 flu or "Swine" flu has been making news and causing widespread concern for several months. This week, LivinginPeru.com has an excellent article from Ryan Maves M.D., a doctor who works at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Center Detachment (NMRCD). Because much of the news about AN1H1 has been sensationalized by the media, Dr. Maves article goes a long way in explaining how AN1H1 and influenza in general should be regarded by private citizens and the measures being taken by those in the health care industry to combat it. Like any illness, AN1H1 should be taken seriously, but Dr.Maves concludes that AN1H1 is manageable and isn't a reason to fear traveling to Peru or any other country in the world. 1. We have in our country more dangerous diseases like Pneumonia in our Highland or Tuberculosis in the Coast, but we don't have all necessary measures.
Maybe the mass media cause the panic in the Population, when they have to give the real information and they could be part of the solution not part of the problem.
